Minnesota Democrats Want Trump, Pence Off the Ballot
The Minnesota State Supreme Court is being asked to remove Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s name from the state’s ballot.
State democrats have filed a petition that says the state GOP did not use the proper procedures in sending Trump and his running mate, Mike Pence’s name for a spot on the ballot.
State law requires political parties to nominate alternate electors at conventions but democrats say the GOP alternates were chosen by party leaders.
Early voting in Minnesota begins September 23rd.
