Fire Officials Investigate Garage Fire in South Fargo
The Fargo Fire Department responded to an apartment garage fire around 7 o’clock Wednesday evening at 1649 33rd Avenue South.
When crews arrived on scene, they found the flames burning behind the garage in a grassy area of the Southgate Apartments.
Palettes and other materials burned and extended to the wall.
The fire department has not determined the cause of the fire.
It is under investigation.
“Especially now as we get into the fall, everything starts drying out, the grasses and everything else. So those fires can spread again. We have those same issue in the spring and the fall where fire can travel through those dry grasses,” says Battalion Chief Tim Binfet.
Only one garage stall was affected and there was no vehicle inside at the time.
