Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch Celebrates New Expansion Project
The Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch in south Fargo opened its expansion.
It was a culmination of a lot of hard work all to help the area’s needy kids.
The Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch has been helping at–risk kids be their best selves for decades, but now the ranch has state–of–the–art facilities to make sure every child receives the best care.
The ranch believes that every child deserves a chance for success in life.
“They’re 100 percent the future of our state, and when we say that … it’s all kids … every kid … every young person in the state of North Dakota,” says North Dakota Lt. Governor Drew Wrigley.
Helping kids has never been an easy mission for the ranch.
For many kids, the issues in their lives are difficult to talk about.
“You know behavior health care is … gaining a lot of interest … a lot of talk, but it’s still a hard discussion. It’s hard to talk about suicide … it’s hard to talk about addiction,” says Christina Hemmer, VP of Clinical Services.
The expanded campus includes a new chapel, nutrition center and a gymnasium.
All of which the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch believes they’ll be better able to help at–risk kids.
“These new facilities will provide a needed and long–lasting impact on the treatment and education program that our children need to become their very best,” says Robert Rosenvold, President of the DBGR Foundation.
A miracle that the ranch performs every day.
The ranch has been providing treatment and education for the area’s at–risk youth since 1952.
