Maple Valley School Bond Fails
The absentee ballots have been counted and the Maple Valley School bond has narrowly failed again.
Superintendent Brian Wolf said following the canvassing of all the ballots yesterday from the September 20th election, voters defeated the measure with 59.7 percent in favor.
Under state law, 60 percent or more is needed to pass.
The 14.3 million dollar school bond would have shut-down two schools in the district and paid for an addition in Tower City.
A 10.3 million dollar bond also narrowly failed in 2015.
