MSUM Students Teach in McKinley Classrooms
Students in the education program at MSUM visit the classrooms at McKinley Elementary School.
MSUM and McKinley have partnered together for ten years to give education majors a chance to try out different teaching methods.
Students spent the day teaching science and social studies.
The program has 60 college students in it, which is an all time high.
“This is the semester before they student teach. They get reinforced that they are going be good teachers. That they have figured out some of the methods of doing it,” says John Benson, Ph.D, MSUM Teaching and Learning Professor.
The MSUM students will also visit Robert Asp Elementary in Moorhead on Thursday.
