Lakeville Mother Found Guilty in Custody Case
A Minnesota jury says a Lakeville mother is guilty of depriving the rights of her estranged husband and hiding away their children for two years.
52-year-old Deirdre Evavold will be sentenced November 10th.
Prosecutors say Evavold took her 13-year-old and 14-year-old girls from their Lakeville home and hid them away on a Herman ranch in 2013 while going through a divorce with the teens’ father.
Another woman working with Evavold is serving eight months in prison for her role.
