Fargo Mayor Taps Keg to Kickoff Fargo Oktoberfest
The Old Broadway is kicking off the 8th annual Oktoberfest celebration with the tapping of the keg.
In traditional Munich fashion, the keg is tapped by Fargo City Mayor Tim Mahoney.
This kicks off a two-day celebration which includes live music, wiener dog races, games, beer tasting and much more.
“You know it’s a change of seasons right? Oktoberfest in Munich is kind of that special time of the year. Everybody lightens up a little bit has a few beers and kinda of kicks off into the fall. That just concluded in Munich last week so hey we’re having it here in Fargo and have a few beers,”says President of D-S Beverages Doug Restemayer.
The celebration continues through until 2 am this evening and gets started again at 10 am tomorrow.
