More Coats Needed! Can You Help?
The Coat’s For Kids and Families campaign continues and our news staff stopped in to volunteer.
We spent some time helping people shop at the distribution center in Moorhead.
Hundreds of coats, gloves and other winter gear have been handed out free of charge since Saturday.
They are short on boy’s coats, between the ages of 5 and 12.
Kars4Kids donated handmade cars that are being given out to children.
Families can also register for a free Thanksgiving food box.
“We are so lucky to live in a community that is able to donate so many coats and so many other things too to help make this event possible,” said Julie Rivenes with the Salvation Army. “We could not do it without the community that we live in that is so wonderful and all of the volunteers that have helped make this event possible.”
Donations can be dropped off at Coats for Kids and Families at 1503 1st Avenue North in Moorhead or 302 Roberts Street in Fargo through Thursday.
