Tragedy At Christmastime: A Family Speaks Out
Don't let what happened to them happen to you.
A family of six from Pelican Rapids is speaking out this morning after losing their father in a terrible accident — one they’re hoping other families can avoid, thanks to their efforts to spread the word about car repair safety.
Jake Arntson, 33, was killed December 14th when the car he was working on collapsed on top of him. Arntston leaves behind a widow and five children, 4 of them his adopted children.
Friends of the Arntsons have created a GoFundMe page to help the family defray expenses after the death of the young father.
They’re also spreading the word to remind us all to observe all safety measures when we’re working on our family or farm vehicles.
Jake’s family members and close friends spoke live on the KVRR Morning Show about what it’s like to face the holidays, going forward without him, and why they hope speaking out can spare someone else’s family the heartbreak they’re going through.
