Bands Go For The Gold At “Raging Red Band Festival”
Two-Day Event Held At NDSU
FARGO, N.D. — Thirty bands from around the region are going for the gold at NDSU.
It’s the sixth annual Raging Red Band Festival at the Reineke Fine Arts Center at NDSU.
Bands are performing in the hopes of receiving a gold, silver or bronze trophy.
The festival provides an opportunity for sixth through twelfth grade musicians to perform for highly qualified music educators and professionals.
They also get a clinic session with the pros.
“When they band’s going for the clinic session, basically what you’re going to do is get that personal 1 on 1 clinician on with the whole band and the director,” said John Warren, the festival coordinator.
“Basically you’re talking through ‘okay, gang you’ve played these things, these are some areas that I think you really ought to look at that may really improve your already great performance.'”
The festival wraps up Wednesday afternoon at NDSU.
