Toddler Drowns in Pool Near Duluth

A one–year–old boy is dead after drowning in an inflatable pool during a large family gathering near Duluth.

Authorities say the toddler managed to climb a ladder and get into the pool while no one was using it.

He drowned in about 3 feet of water.

Family members tried to revive the child before first responders arrived Thursday evening.

The boy was pronounced dead at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.
