Committee Approves $400,000 for Abortion Litigation

Bookmark and Share

The Senate Appropriations Committee has approved $400,000 for lawsuits to defend North Dakota's new abortion laws.

Governor Dalrymple signed the three abortion bills last month making North Dakota the most restrictive state in the nation for the procedure.

Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem asked for the budget increase.

The full state Senate and the state House stills need to approve the request.
