Drug Arrest During Traffic Stop

Bookmark and Share

More than four pounds of marijuana and $10,000 cash was seized during a traffic stop in Moorhead.

Twenty-six-year-old Thomas Schultz, of Fargo, was arrested on felony controlled substance charges.

Moorhead Police seized the marijuana and cash when an officer pulled Schultz over near 8th Street and Main Avenue about 9 o'clock Tuesday night.

An officer pulled Schultz over after he floored the 2006 Corvette he was driving.

His vehicle was also seized.

Lt. Torey Jacobson, of the Moorhead Police Department, says, "This is just another example of a very large quantity in possession of one individual, 4.25 lbs., initiated through a traffic stop, so clearly something we’re seeing more and more of, sometimes daily."

Schultz did not have a valid driver's license or proper registration for his vehicle.
