Gate City Bank has invested $2,000,000 towards Fargo's Revitalization Program.
The investment was made official after handing over a giant check at City Hall this morning.
The money will bring down loan interest rates for homeowners looking to renovate their homes.
The project began in 2003 as a way to help homeowners improve the quality of their homes as an alternative to building new properties.
"We know that home ownership is important and the opportunities for affordable home ownership. Sometimes it's better to do some type of remodeling versus trying to go out and do a new purchase or a new building. That infrastructure is so important to our cities," says Executive Vice President of Lending at Gate City Bank Kevin Hanson.
