It's Childhood Cancer Awareness month and a local car club is putting on a fund raiser for child cancer research.
The Originals Car Club 8th Annual Child Cancer Awareness Show took over the Blue Cross Blue Shield parking lot.
Over 100 drivers pay to show off their set of wheels in the event.
Spectators get in for free but also have the opportunity to donate.
The event was started by the car club's president after he lost his son to cancer.
"To me it's a big issue. Losing my son, I didn't know how to deal with this, and this is what me and my vice president Chris came up with. It helps me deal with it. Fighting back is what we're doing. That's the way I feel. Keeping my son's memory alive and helping out the hospital and trying to find a cure for it basically," says Original Car Club President Ismael "Smiley" Prez.
100% of proceeds go to Cure Search and Sanford Childhood Center.
