A Fargo man who escaped from a Washburn jail over the weekend has been captured in Mandan.

Law enforcement officers detonated flash bombs to force 35-year-old William Rawson out of a trailer home.

Authorities say he fled and climbed a tree where a fire truck was deployed to retrieve him.

Rawson was discovered missing Sunday morning from the Washburn jail.

He was arrested a few weeks ago on a number of offenses after a police chase ended in a stolen vehicle and he hid in a corn field for eight hours.
