BISMARCK, N.D. -

The man who led the growth of several manufacturing businesses in North Dakota is getting the state's highest honor.

Governor Dalrymple announced he has named entrepreneur and business leader Eugene Dahl the 43rd recipient of the North Dakota Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider Award.

Dahl was responsible for creating thousands of jobs in the state with companies including Bobcat and Steiger.

Dahl passed away in 2008.

The governor will officially present Dahl's family with the award during an event in Fargo on October 28.
