FARGO, N.D. -

Now, we're talking softball.

The Fargo–Moorhead Softball Hall of Fame inducts its inaugural members.

Four players, one team, and one sponsor make up the first class of inductees.

The hall of fame started as a way to honor the sport locally.

Organizers want to build a gazebo at the Fargo Park Board's new northside softball complex, to share the names and stories of those who help grow the sport.

"I believed there is a need for the Fargo–Moorhead hall of fame. I served on the state hall of fame since '92 and I really felt that so many people in this area that need to be rewarded for all they've done for Fargo and for the area to bring good things back to us," says Sharon Morgan, Hall Of Fame committee member.

The hall of fame is raising money to help build and maintain the gazebo.
