Governor Dalrymple sends in the National Guard to assist with ongoing Dakota Access Pipeline protest south of Mandan.
Standing Rock Sioux officials say they have identified cultural artifacts on a private piece of land the pipeline will run into if construction continues.
Tribe officials also say workers bulldozed several other sites of historical importance, but the Texas–based pipeline company says those claims are not true.
The state says they will send their chief archaeologist to the area to inspect the tribe's findings.
A federal judge is expected to rule Friday on the tribe's lawsuit on the federal building permits.
