FARGO, N.D. -

A celebration of life and love...Pride has taken over Fargo–Moorhead for the weekend.

Rainbow runners took part in a fun–run and walk this morning, before celebrating Pride in the Park at Island Park.

Those celebrating say the weekend is about much more than parties and parades.

They say it's about the LGBTQ community being visible in the community, and embracing diversity.

"I think it's amazing. I mean I've never seen anything like this. From where I come from we don't do stuff like this. I meant it's amazing. It's really nice how the community comes together like this. I like it," says Keri Perkett of FM Pride.

FM Pride continues Sunday with an interfaith service at the Fargo Theater, and a parade running through downtown.
