Minnesota -

The Minnesota DNR has found zebra mussels in five more lakes, including three in our area.

The new list of infested lakes includes Otter Tail Lake, West Battle Lake, Pocket Lake, Lake Florida and a group of mine pit lakes in Crow Wing County.

To curb the spread of zebra mussels, boaters and anglers in Minnesota are required to clean watercraft after lake use, drain water plugs and dispose of unwanted bait in the garbage.

The DNR says about 98% of Minnesota's lakes are not infested.
