Essentia Health Cancer Center celebrates its survivors.

Friends and family gather at Dakota Carriage Company to support their cancer survivors.

More than 300 people showed up for live entertainment and activities including a petting zoo and carriage rides.

Essentia Health says a cancer survivor is anyone living with a history of cancer– from the moment of their diagnosis through the remainder of their life.

"It's really encouraging to see those who have been a survivor for many years be able to talk with someone who's going through that journey and making that connection and supporting them along the way," says Leah Deyo, Cancer Sponsorship Program Manager.

Different colored wristbands were given out based on the number of years since being diagnosed.
