GRAND FORKS, N.D. -

Pride week may be over in Fargo but the celebration continues in Grand Forks with Pride Weekend kicking off Friday.

The celebration begins with the screening of two movies at the Fire Hall Theater on Friday night.

The big event of the weekend though is Pride on the Greenway which begins Saturday at 10 a.m.

Last year was the first time in almost five years that Pride Weekend was held in Grand Forks and it had a turn-out of almost 400 people.

Organizers hope this year's event is even larger.

"I'm hoping that it'll be a little bigger this year. We have about 35 vendors who are gonna be in the park which is really exciting for us to have that sort of non-profit slish buisiness people joining us for that. We have a lot of artists and people coming in as well to help support so I'm eager to see what happens," said Pride organizer Kyle Thorson.
