Health professionals across the state come together to discuss stroke and cardiac topics.
The North Dakota Department of Health and American Heart Association teamed up to present topics such as the 2016 stroke treatment guidelines and new case studies.
Doctors, nurses, EMT's and other professionals then had the opportunity to talk together.
The conference aims to help less populated areas of the state as much as the bigger cities.
"We're talking about acute stroke assessments and cardiac assessments across the state," said Shila Thorson who is the state Stroke and Cardiac System Coordinator. "What do you do when you get a patient with chest pain and how to improve the care and make sure that patients get treated as quickly as possible."
This is the second year the North Dakota Department of Health has hosted the conference.
