FARGO, N.D. -

Kids get in touch with their artistic side with the help of Mother Nature.

The week-long "Tree Huggers" camp at the Make Room art space shows them how to use items found in nature to make art.

They're using plant-based paints, weaving baskets out of branches, and making their own tea blends with herbs.

The goal is to show kids that they can make art with nearly anything around them.

"I think all of us are born with a creative instinct so it's just a matter of kind of tapping into that instinct and trusting that instincts, so I think the closer we work with nature and natural elements, the easier that is sometimes," says Chelsea Thorson with Make Room.

Make Room hosts numerous classes for both kids and adults.
