FARGO, N.D. -

Local kids from Horace Mann–Roosevelt Elementary School K–Kids Club donate one thousand dollars to the Fargo Kiwanis Club.

Four students from K–Kids Club present the Kiwianis at their weekly meeting with a check they raised for the Kiwanis Eliminate Project.

The kids raised the money by selling brats in partnership with the Northport Hornbacher's.

The kids set a record for most brats sold in a single weekend.

"I think they feel good about the opportunity to give back. Kids have a tenancy to receive a lot so this is their opportunity to do something altruistic that they can actually do and feel good about and even at a young age make a difference," says Kim Colwell, a Co-Advisor of K-Kids Club.

The kids from the club will be headed back to school soon where they will begin planning their next fundraising project.
