Fifth graders at Longfellow Elementary are supporting a classmate in a wheelchair by learning.
Instead of the usual gym class, they're playing wheelchair soccer.
Teachers say it's a way for them to show their support as well as learn what it's like to be in a wheelchair.
Many of these students had never been in one until they took part in the soccer game on wheels.
"It's also exciting for the regular education students to have the opportunity to see what it's like," speech pathologist Erin Gigstad says.
It's the first time the class has ever held this event, and teachers say the kids loved it.
