FARGO, N.D. -

One woman is recovering after being stabbed multiple times at a house in south Fargo near Carl Ben Eielson Middle School.

One person has been taken into custody.

Fargo Police responded to cries for help on the 1400 block of 12th Avenue South where they found a woman injured.

"The resident at that address reported that someone was in her back yard throwing rocks through one of the back windows," said Deputy Chief Joe Anderson. "While en route, officers were informed that there was an individual who was possibly stabbed."

The woman was taken to Essentia with non–life threatening injuries.

Others involved in the stabbing were taken in for questioning.

"Officers did detain multiple individuals within the residence or around the property," said Dep. Chief Anderson. "What they determined was that the disturbance...everyone involved in the disturbance was known to each other."

Michael Torres of Moorhead was arrested on outstanding warrants and alleged possession of drug paraphernalia near the scene.

Police say they will not release the names of the people involved until the results of the investigation are complete.
