A Texas man tied to the overdose deaths of two teens in North Dakota is asking to drop his appeal.

Charles Carlton was sentenced two years ago to 20 years in prison for selling the drugs authorities linked to the June 2012 deaths.

The drugs killed 18–year–old Christian Bjerk, of Grand Forks, and 17–year–old Elijah Stai, of Park Rapids.

Carlton's appeal said his lawyer did a poor job of representing him, but he changed his mind after numerous discussions with defense attorney, Stormy Vickers.
