Toll Bridge Now Free

12th Avenue North in Fargo, 15th Avenue North in Moorhead

The toll charged to cross the 12th avenue north/15th avenue north bridge linking Fargo and Moorhead is a thing of the past.

Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney and Moorhead Mayor Del Rae Williams held a joint news conference to announce the cities now control the bridge.

An East Central District Court Judge this morning ordered that the bridge be turned over to the cities.

Ownership of the bridge had been tied up in a lawsuit for more than a year.

Fargo is installing a four way stop at the intersection of 12th Avenue North and Elm Street to handle the increased traffic.
