Teen Assaults Girl For Not Dating Him

A Bismarck teen is charged with assaulting a girl who refused to date him.

18-year-old Preston Lang was arrested Friday and charged with felonious restraint, aggravated assault and terrorizing.

Police say Lang picked the girl up from school last Wednesday, took her phone and forced her into a family member’s home where he choked and slapped her.

She said he then tried to hang himself with a cord.

Lang is being held on a $5,000 bond.
