Teen Reaches Plea Deal in Grand Forks Murder
A suspect in a fatal shooting of a man in Grand Forks reaches a plea deal to lesser charges.
19-year-old Dametrian Welch was charged with murder and burglary along with Delvin Shaw.
The men are accused of killing 24 year old Jose Lopez in his apartment last June.
Welch has agreed to plead guilty to a reduced charge of facilitating murder.
He is set to be sentenced May 20th and is expected to get 8 years in prison.
Shaw is asking the court for a new attorney.
His trial is set to begin March 24th.
