Florida Man Stands Trial In Otter Tail County

Jury selection is underway in Otter Tail County Court for a Florida man charged in the death of his girlfriend.

42-year-old David Hamil is charged with criminal vehicular homicide in the death of Holly Homewood.

He’s accused of being under the influence of alcohol and drugs last July when he drove his car into Franklin Lake northeast of Pelican Rapids.

He managed to get out of the car before first responders arrived.
