Jasper Schneider Leaving USDA
Jasper Schneider is resigning from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Last October, Schneider was named acting administrator of the Rural Utilities Service in Washington, D.C.
He was appointed USDA Rural Development state director in 2009 and administered investments totaling $3 billion in the state.
Schneider is stepping down to return to the private sector.
Federal Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said Schneider’s “hard work will be missed, but his impact will endure.”
