Man Found Guilty in Jamaican Lottery Scam

A man has been found guilty in Bismarck for a Jamaican lottery scam that cost victims millions of dollars.

25-year-old Sanjay Williams was found guilty of conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering.

He faces up to 40 years in prison.

Authorities say the scam bilked mostly older and vulnerable citizens out of their savings.

One 86-year-old woman from Harvey, North Dakota lost $300-thousand in the scam and cashed in her insurance policy.
