Prosecutors Seek Mistrial in Knodel Trial

Just as a judge’s deadline neared, prosecutors file a formal request for a mistrial in the Aaron Knodel trial.

The West Fargo teacher was charged with five felony counts of corruption or solicitation of a minor for an alleged sexual relationship with a student in 2009.

Deliberations in the case were stopped when it was revealed that one of the jury members lied about past sexual abuse.

Prosecutors have not decided if they will seek a retrial.
