Each year hundreds of thousands of people are hurt and killed in car crashes involving distracted driving.

Oak Grove Lutheran students heard from a lawyer from Pennsylvania who lost his 21-year-old daughter to a distracted driving crash. He has made it his goal to prevent this from happening to other families around the country.

He explained to students through video and demonstration that distracted driving not only includes texting but anything that takes your focus away from the road.

“If you’re driving you can drive safer but if you’re a passenger you can speak up when you’re driven distracted to change the culture of driving in this country, we need people to change the way they drive but change the way other people drive,” says Joel Feldman.
