Amtrak Derailment: Investigation Turns to Train Engineer

Emergency crews pull another body from the wreckage of the Philadelphia Amtrak derailment.

That brings the number of people killed up to eight.

The investigation is focusing on 32 year old train engineer, Brandon Bostian.

He was speeding at 106 miles per hour around a curve that was built for 55 miles per hour.

Bostian has handed over his cell phone and consented to a blood test.

Investigators are also looking at the missing safety control system on that portion of the track.

It’s designed to prevent trains from going over the speed limit.
