Willis Used His Own Gun in Shooting
Police say senior airman Marcell Willis did not use a military-issued weapon during the shooting at the 32nd Avenue South Walmart in Grand Forks.
They say Willis personally owned the Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
He fired four shots during his rampage Tuesday morning killing one worker, injuring another, missing yet another before killing himself.
The gun was found near Willis at the scene.
His motive isn’t known.
He was stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base.
Police say they are studying surveillance video of the crime.
