UND Offers Online Social Work Degree to Keep Up with Demand
U-N-D is offering a bachelor’s degree in a new online program that will help meet the demand for social workers in the nation.
The program will be offered this fall through the university.
U-N-D says a Labor Department study says the need for social workers will grow almost 20 percent by the year 20-22 and people will be especially needed in rural areas.
The university says they are working with a tribal college in Fort Totten.
The Spirit Lake tribe has been working on improving its child protection systems after complaints of the lack of services for vulnerable children.
