Attempted Murder Charges for Man Involved in Bismarck Standoff

The man who held Bismarck law enforcement in a 15 hour standoff is charged with attempted murder.

36-year-old Brandon Lyon is also charged with terrorizing and firearm possession.

Lyon was arrested in a standoff that started Monday night after he allegedly threatened to kill two people at a home in Bismarck.

The people escaped and called police.

Police say Lyon did fire a gun at them but no one was hurt.

After six rounds of tear gas, Lyon surrendered late Tuesday morning.
His next court date has not been scheduled.
