Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota is the only organization that runs a resettlement program in the state.

They say they don’t expect refugees from Syria to come to the area since there is not an established presence in communities.

Gov. Jack Dalrymple says currently, the state has not received any Syrian refugees.

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton says if incoming refugees are headed to Minnesota, he will welcome them as long as deep background checks are conducted.
