Clowns Descend on Mexico City
Hundreds of clowns make a pilgrimage to Mexico City to pay homage to the Lady of Guadalupe.
They are marching to thank the country’s patron saint and to ask for more work in the coming year.
They are part of the Clown Club of Mexico and have been making the pilgrimage for more than 30 years.
They attend Mass at the Basilica where the priest blesses them for bringing happiness and excitement to the people of a country suffering from a drug war and crippling poverty.
