Minneapolis Black Lives Matter Protesters File Lawsuit

Two women file lawsuits against Minneapolis Police officers who they say used excessive force during protests outside the 4th precinct.

The women say the officers hit them in the face with nightsticks while trying to move them into an alley outside the precinct during the 18-day encampment.

The lawsuit claims an officer grabbed one of the women’s cellphone when she tried to record the encounter and then threw it on the ground and smashed it with a nightstick.

City officials say the women did not “comply with orders to move”.
