Kids Building Workshop Offered By North Dakota Carpenters

North Dakota carpenters offer a building workshop for kids.

Local kids got down to drilling and assembling a wooden bench.

Materials were provided by the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters.

The carpenter training center in Fargo runs monthly wood projects to help build kids’ new skills and confidence.

Volunteers were on hand to help young builders put their benches together.

“It’s something to do in the winter time. You know, there isn’t a whole lot of options. They can’t really go outside and play out on the playground when it’s 15 below. So we just wanted to give back to the community a little bit and put something on for the kids to do,” says Nic Phelps with North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters Business.
This is a free workshop offered once a month for up to 30 kids.

The next build session will be March 12th.
