Many of us love wearing makeup and it’s something we pass on to our children.

But health experts are warning parents to pay attention to what kind of makeup teens are using.

They recommend switching to makeup pallets that are all natural.

Researchers at the University of California at Berkley say parabens and other harmful chemicals in perfumes, cosmetics and hair products are known to interfere with growth development.

One hundred teens were tested using products that were chemical free for three days and researchers found after that short break that levels of hormone-disrupting chemicals in their urine dropped by 45 percent.

Researchers say cosmetics sold in the U.S. are tough to regulate.
