Williston Man Died In Camper Fire Saving Dog
Authorities say a Williston man who died in a camper fire at a local truck stop was overcome by smoke and fumes while trying to save his pet.
Twenty-three–year–old Phillip Unnerstall Jr. died March 21 of smoke inhalation and was ruled by the state’s medical examiner as accidental.
Deputies say the fire was caused by a small propane heater inside the camper.
Authorities say Unnerstall tried unsuccessfully to save his pet dog.
