Minnesota Man Granted Parole 36 Years After Killing Wife

A Minnesota man convicted of strangling his wife and dismembering her body 36 years ago has been granted parole.

David Hoffman killed his wife and tossed her remains into Weaver Lake in Maple Grove in 1980.

His wife’s family has been fighting to keep Hoffman behind bars, and were in court hoping Hoffman’s parole would be denied.

Hoffman will be released from prison in two years under intense state supervision.
