MSUM Sorority Raises Money for the Starkey Hearing Foundation

Delta Zeta Sorority at MSUM is raising money for the Starkey Hearing Foundation.

The sorority has been holding events throughout the semester collecting money for the cause.

The Fall Festival is the last of their fundraiser for the foundation this year.

Organizers set up a pumpkin decorating booth, corn hole game and had an October barbecue with all the fixings.

They say they just want to be a part of helping someone in need.

“Just think of not being able to hear your loved one say they love you or even hear your favorite song and imagine your world without that. Well Starkey does things like give those opportunities to people because they do cochlear implants and they do other options to allow people to hear,” says event organizer Reese Vedbraaten.

Vedbraaten says they hoped to raise $300 with the Festival.

They are planning other community events throughout the school year.
