No Charges Filed in ATV Injury Crash with 8-Year-Old Driver

Clay County Attorney Brian Melton says he will not be filing charges in an ATV crash that injured three children in Becker County.

Melton says the father of the eight-year-old ATV driver could have been charged with felony child endangerment after the child drove the ATV out in front of a car and injured herself and her two four-year-old cousins.

He says the children would have had to testify against the man and said it would only cause more harm while they are trying to recover from physical and emotional injuries.
